I work primarily with acrylic paints and oil pastels on wood or canvas to create unexpected two-dimensional works.

Moving fluidly between joyful experimentations of color and wild gestural movements, I create countless layers until the work becomes pleasing to my eye, and a knowingness of completion is felt. Each painting is full of playful curiosity & self-exploration while also deeply supporting the ways in which I process both my inner and outer worlds.

It has been said that  "abstract painting mostly works with the unknown, the process itself then becomes the subject" and I love to think about my paintings in this way.

The process of painting for me has always been equally as important as the finished piece.

It is my highest hope that my paintings evoke a kind of curious wonder within you, the viewer and that perhaps even just a little bit of that magic lives on long after this initial encounter.
